Plant a Row for the Hungry
The Second Harvest Food Bank of NW PA is asking area farmers and gardeners to join our mission to alleviate hunger by planting an extra row for our neighbors in need. While residents plant their crops and gardens, they can designate a plant or row of plants to donate to Second Harvest this summer. Please join in this community effort and sow an extra row for a hungry family who can’t afford fresh produce. All varieties of fruits and vegetables will be accepted.
Don’t have a green thumb? All fresh produce will be accepted whether it’s from your garden or your grocery cart. Donations can be taken to Second Harvest at 1507 Grimm Drive, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Simply drive to the loading docks at the rear of the building to drop off produce donations when they become available. Thank you!
