GE, Welch's Donate To Second Harvest

During the past month, two companies with ties to the Erie area, made generous contributions to Second Harvest. GE Transportation, which is headquartered in Erie, presented a check for $45,000 to Executive Director Karen Seggi on December 16 as part of GE's donation of $250,000 to seven nonprofit organizations serving the Erie community. Earlier, Welch's initiated its Harvest of Help program to provide one million servings of 100 percent juice. The first donation in the country was made to Second Harvest. A family-farm owner from the Dunkirk, New York, area delivered five truckloads of juice to Second Harvest's warehouse.
